Join us for our monthly Journal Class. Offered in our studio & online via Zoom on the second Tuesday of each month at noon. Session style and topic change monthly. $16/Class.

No experience necessary! Just bring a journal and a pen. Taught by Barbara Banks, MA, Life Coach and Yoga Instructor.

Meet Barbara Banks

Barbara began journaling two decades ago as a way to deal with hard life transitions. The process of writing out emotions, decisions, and difficulties proved to decrease stress, promote better problem solving, and increase personal awareness for skillful reactions to life. She has been trained as a Music Therapist, Clinical Counselor, and Life coach. Much of her therapeutic journal training has been self guided and enhanced by in-depth journal workshops, participating in therapeutic journal circles, and creative journal seminars. She understands first hand how the creative act of putting pen to paper and going just beyond the thinking mind can lead to a more positive and fulfilling life.

Along with being a Journal Teacher, Barbara is a Life Coach and Yoga Instructor. She is an avid journaler herself, meditator, traveler, baker, artist-wanna-be, dog mom, renovator, and coffee drinker.


How Does Journaling Benefit You?

Journaling allows people to clarify their thoughts and feelings, thereby gaining valuable self-knowledge. It’s also a good problem-solving tool; oftentimes, one can hash out a problem and come up with solutions more easily on paper.
