FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT CLASSES

WHAT DO I WEAR?

Wear something comfortable that allows you to move freely and breathe easily. For yoga and stretch classes, athletic or leisurewear like leggings, shorts, or soft pants with a tank or T-shirt works well. Layers are helpful, especially for slower or restorative practices.

For our Parkinson’s classes, we recommend clothes that are easy to move in and supportive athletic shoes.

If you're visiting the spa, see our Spa FAQ for guidance on what to wear for services like massage, sauna, salt room, and foot soaks.

Above all, there’s no dress code—just come as you are. Comfort is key.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT MY FIRST CLASS?

When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by one of our friendly team members who can help you check in, get oriented, and settle in. We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early so you have time to find your space, gather any props you may need, and ask questions if anything feels unclear.

Each class—whether yoga, stretch, or one of our specialty wellness offerings—is led in a supportive, welcoming environment with guidance that meets you where you are. You’ll be encouraged to move at your own pace, listen to your body, and take what you need from the experience. Simply showing up is something to celebrate.

All props and mats are provided, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer (we also sell mats in our boutique). Most importantly, come as you are—we’re here to support you.

I’VE NEVER BEEN TO A YOGA OR STRETCH CLASS AND FEEL INTIMIDATED.

We’re so glad you’re considering joining us—truly, that’s the hardest part. Our classes are filled with people on all different paths, from first-timers to longtime practitioners, and everyone is welcome here.

Our instructors are compassionate, highly trained, and always happy to answer questions or offer modifications to help you feel supported. You don’t need to be flexible, experienced, or “know what you’re doing” to begin—just come as you are.

We’re honored to be part of your first step.

I’M NOT FLEXIBLE, CAN I STILL PARTICIPATE?

Absolutely. In fact, if you’re not flexible, yoga and stretch classes are a great place to start. Flexibility isn’t a prerequisite—it’s something you’ll develop over time through regular practice.

Yoga isn’t about “doing it perfectly.” It’s about connecting with your body, your breath, and yourself. Unlike traditional workouts, yoga encourages inward awareness and personal exploration. Every pose can be modified to meet you where you are, and your experience may look different from someone else’s—and that’s perfectly okay.

Come as you are. You’ll be supported, and over time, you’ll likely find more flexibility not only in your body, but in your mind as well.

HOW IS YOGA DIFFERENT FROM OTHER FITNESS ACTIVITIES?

While both yoga and stretch classes offer physical benefits like improved flexibility, strength, and mobility, they also go deeper. These practices are designed not just to work the body, but to calm the mind and connect you to your breath.

Unlike traditional fitness activities that focus on external results—like speed, reps, or intensity—yoga and stretch at Fusion encourage mindful movement, body awareness, and inward focus. You're guided to listen to your body, honor where you are that day, and move with intention rather than pressure.

We offer a variety of class styles—from strong, strength-building flows to deeply restorative sessions—to support different needs, body types, abilities, and energy levels. Whether you're looking to sweat, stretch, or simply slow down, there's space for you here.
